Teen Driver Education F.C. Stair School of Driving, Inc. offers 30 hours of classroom instruction in a 3 week period and 6 hours of actual behind the wheel driving experience. The behind the wheel sequence is combined with 6 hour of observation in 2 hour driving sessions. Classroom Instruction The 3 week classroom instruction is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for the convenience of scheduling students that have other activities after school. During the summer, the classroom phase may be extended with a 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. offering. Behind the Wheel Most of the behind the wheel lessons are available on the weekends and can be completed by going both Saturday and Sunday at scheduled time for three weekends. Behind the wheel times are also offered after school and in the evenings. Behind the Wheel Times: (subject to availability of instructor)
Presentations F.C. Stair School of Driving, Inc. offers students and parents applicable knowledge through presentations from the La Crosse Police Department, Operation Lifesaver (a national railroad grade crossing safety organization), representatives of local insurance agencies, and Wisconsin's Road Team (Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association) (Wisconsin State Patrol). A list of our upcoming presentations can be found here. The School and the Instructors are Licensed and Certified by the State of Wisconsin A complete driver education program is offered every month usually starting on the first Monday of every months. Check the Upcoming Classes page for the dates and times of upcoming classroom sessions. The frequency, dates, and time of behind the wheel lessons can be scheduled by the parents and students.
