 Fees

Students: The total cost of the program for students under the age of 18 is $300.  This sum represents $100.00 for the classroom and $200.00 for behind the wheel instruction.

Adults: The cost for behind the wheel instruction for adults is $45 per hour of instruction.

Wisconsin youth under the age of 18 must complete 30 hours of Classroom instruction.  12 hours of Behind-the-Wheel training, and all Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) requirements.  See Wisconsin handbook for details; a Wisconsin handbook is available at any Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office or at F.C. Stair School of Driving, Inc.

Other Fees:

  • Classroom Update: The F.C. Stair School of Driving feels strongly that a close time framework between the classroom phase and the behind the wheel training; therefore, the school will assess a payment of $50 in the event that a student fails to begin behind-the-wheel instruction within 60 days after obtaining his or her instruction permit.
  • Refresher Course: $150; In the event that a period of 13 months lapses between the student's Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel training, the student may be reinstated in the program without having to start completely over again by taking the abbreviated refresher course.
